Spay San Jose
Low-Cost Spay and Neuter Programs
in San Jose and Silicon Valley
Last updated: July 3, 2024
Spay neuter services for community cats is extremely limited right now. Our local animal shelters are all operating at maximum capacity right now, but they are all trying to help as many people as they can get cats fixed via TNR.
DO NOT trap a cat until you have secured an appointment to get it fixed, unless the cat is pregnant, sick, or injured and you have confirmed that the shelter or a vet is able to take it.
Please follow the directions below for the city the cat is located in.
Once you have gotten an appointment, contact us if you need to borrow a trap.

Other Cities / Counties
We are sorry, but our volunteers are only familiar with the current status of animal care services in Santa Clara County. If you live in any other county, please reach out to the agency that provides animal control services for your city.
We know the following organizations were helping folks with community cats pre-pandemic, but we don’t know what the current status of their services is:
- In San Mateo County: Peninsula Humane Society
- In the Fremont area: Ohlone Humane Society
- In the Modesto/Stockton area: SAVED Spay Neuter Clinic
