Phoenix was named because she is the ultimate survivor.  She was found at only a few days old with her littermates - none of whom lived despite great and tireless care.  She continues to thrive and has made fast friends with other foster kittens and foster families. In fact, unlike other torties, she loves and needs the attention of both humans and other cat(s) to keep her company is recommended.

Her teddy bear face matches her loving personality.  While timid at first, she can’t resist toys and fun and is ready to play with feathers, balls and hand-to-paw combat whenever you are. She has the sweetest meow and instantly purrs when you hold her near. You will hear her softly chirping in search of you or her pals since she loves to be around others.

13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose.

We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat
