Pierce and his siblings were born at the San Jose Animal Care Center to a stray cat who was abandoned while pregnant. Newborn kittens cannot stay at the shelter, so luckily the Mama and babies were rescued by a volunteer. The Mama and babies lived in a nice warm bathroom, and did not have to worry about being cold and hungry.
Once the kittens were big enough they were able to interact with the older foster kittens. The tiny two pounders were having a great time wrestling and playing with cats five times their size! The kittens favorite toys are laser trackball or laser pointers, and of course anything with strong organic catnip. They really will play with anything-including some things that are off limits like paper towels!
Pierce was the last kitten to fully open his eyes. But when they did finally open up, he revealed a surprise. He has one blue eye, and one gold eye. He also has the most interesting markings. His body is almost completely white, except for a solid black tail, and his markings on his head. His fur is medium length, and is so soft and fluffy.
Pierce is the most affectionate of the three kittens, and he will purr instantly when picked up. He loves to sleep near his foster Mama's head or upper body. He really loves the company of other kitties too, just like his siblings. He can often be found with one of the adult foster cats curled up and napping.
He would need to be adopted along with one of her siblings, or another cat or kitten. Or she can go to a household with an existing feline, or perhaps a canine? He and his siblings have no experience with children or dogs. A very gentle child or dog might be a good match.
Pierce is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and deflead.
