Oliver (aka Ollie Bear) is an orphan kitten rescued from the shelter when he weighed less than a pound. He was found all by himself in a field, and brought to the shelter by a concerned citizen. A rescue volunteer came forward and took Oliver and another kitten home to foster, so that they could have a chance at life. Oliver and his foster "sister" Annie were named after the famous orphans Oliver Twist and Little Orphan Annie. They took to each other like they were born from the same Mama cat.
Ollie Bear has one of the cutest faces you will ever see on a kitten! He looks like he has a little goatee on his chin. He is an absolutely adorable and unique version of a black kitten. His fur is medium length with white tips, and his tabby stripes go from subtle to obvious depending on the light. He is a compact little bundle of energy, and loves to wrestle with the older foster cats. Of course he plays with his foster sister Annie, but she is not as tough as him and she eventually runs off. He is not choosy about toys, and loves to play with anything you give him as well as anything he finds.
Oliver will purr loudly the second he is touched, and sometimes before he is even touched. When he is worn out from playing hard he will snuggle up against you for a nap. It's hard to resist the temptation to pick him up and wake him, because he is the type of kitten you can't stop adoring. He is fine with being picked up and turned around every which way, and he has a sort of "ragdoll" comfort zone.
Oliver would love to be adopted along with his orphan foster sister Annie. But he would also be fine in a home with another cat or kitten, and possibly even a dog - although he has not been around any . He would not be good with small children because he plays too rough. That is something he will probably grow out of. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, de-wormed, and treated for fleas.
