Meet Pepe! Pepe is a 1-2 year Siamese with blue eyes. He’s got the classic chocolate head

and paws, with lovely light tan on his body. He weighs about 11.5 lbs. He was a stray who was

living in our yard for several weeks; we feed several stray female cats there.

Pepe was quite a mellow fellow generally while in our yard. He would lay back and wait

patiently until the other outside cats had finished eating and then go to eat their leftovers. On

July 5, another male stray came toward him aggressively, and Pepe yowled and defended

himself. That’s when I decided that I needed to trap and fix him and get him a good home

where he could be happy, safe, and loved.

We humanely trapped him July 6 and took him to the vet for neutering, microchipping, testing

for disease, and all his vaccinations. We have documentation of all of that and will gladly

provide that. Pepe is certified to be without rabies. He does have FIV. He has not been

declawed. The vet tech fell in love with him and said she would take him home herself except

she already had two cats. She predicted that he will grow even more mellow as his hormones

decline.

Pepe is living in a very large crate in our basement recovering well from the neutering surgery

and all the vaccinations. He is eating well, drinking water well, and bathrooming successfully in

the litter box. He is getting more energy and yet remains calm, but cautious. He will welcome

encouragement to become bolder when he gets adopted. He deserves a great home! We do

not know yet whether he would enjoy being with other cats. He would definitely be happy in a

home where he’s the center of human attention!
