Patches was found in our backyard in August 2021 and was taken to the SJ Animal Shelter. The shelter could not reach his owners, so he was to be released back into the neighborhood. With the help of 13thstcatsrescue, I adopted him and have been caring for him since. However, we already are fostering a cat who is territorial and does not like other cats.

Patches is a  neutered male neutered long haired tabby with all of his vaccinations up to date. He was tested and vaccinated for FELV. Patches is a very cautious cat, but once he gets to know/trust you, he is very loving and will follow you around the house. He enjoys playing with string, small balls, likes other cats, and really wants a playmate. Since he is afraid of loud noises and sudden movements, it is best that he is not with small children, and or dogs.

Patches is an indoor/outdoor cat, and will go to the sliding glass door to let you know when he wants to go out with his squeaky meow. He is a good litter box user and has no behavioral issues. Patches loves to eat can food, snacks and will nibble at dry cat food. He is fine with being picked up, but prefers not to be held. He loves to get your attention by rolling on his back, and when you rub him, he will do his "aerial jazz paws." He does not like to wear a collar, but is microchipped, and he is not a hunter.
